  • Summary of Position

    The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University currently seeks qualified candidates for a faculty position in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences.


    Our physicians provide general gynecology and obstetrical care to patients at Temple University Hospital and its outpatient facilities, and participate in the education and training of medical students and residents.


    The selected candidate will possess outstanding clinical skills and must work independently and collaboratively with other health care providers and support staff and possess the credentials that will qualify for a faculty appointment at a minimum level of Assistant Professor.  Candidates must be board certified or board eligible and have the ability to obtain medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.


    The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences employs approximately 30 MDs or MD/PhDs plus supporting administrative, nursing and research staff. There are five clinical divisions including General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology), Reproductive Endocrinology and Gynecologic Oncology. The department supports 21 residents.


    Temple University Hospital, a 728-bed tertiary- and quaternary-level acute care hospital, is in the same campus as the School of Medicine. TUH is a high volume urban medical center, with over 331,757 outpatient visits and over 3,000 births annually.
