Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is currently seeking a BC/BE Abdominal Imager in Philadelphia, PA. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Philadelphia’s leading academic medical centers which is home to more than 1,000 physicians and scientists who share the mission of bringing innovative treatments to patients.
The abdominal imager will contribute predominately in the abdominal imaging section consisting of Body MRI, CT, US and fluoro and be expected to contribute to our missions of providing excellent education to a diverse body of medical students and residents and state - of - the - art health care in our busy radiology practices. Opportunities also exist for engagement in research and candidates with interest in publishing or participating in research is preferred but, not required. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Our clinical practice is based in Temple University Hospital (TUH) however, our clinical radiology service also serves Jeanes Hospital Campus, our community outpost, and the Northeastern Campus. Our faculty may spend time at one or more of these facilities.
The Radiology Residency Program has a total of 26 trainees (16 diagnostic and 10IR/DR). In addition, 12 to 15 medical students are assigned to radiology rotations each month. The clinical rotations are bolstered by two daily lectures.
Applicants must possess an M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent with board certification or board eligibility in radiology. Fellowship training in abdominal imaging, MRI, cross sectional or ultrasound strongly preferred. Candidates must also obtain medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to the commencement of employment.
