Summary of Position

The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA is now accepting applications for a full-time abdominal imaging faculty position within the Department of Radiology.


The abdominal imager will join a team of about 40 faculty members and will contribute predominately in the abdominal imaging section consisting of Body MRI, CT, US and fluoro. Clinical practice based at Temple University Hospital , while also serving: the Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC,) one of only 50 NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the country; Jeanes Hospital Campus, our community outpost; and the Northeastern Campus. Our Radiology Residency Program has a total of 26 trainees (16 diagnostic and 10 interventional/ diagnostic,) and 12 to 15 medical students are assigned to radiology rotations each month. These clinical rotations are bolstered by two daily lectures.

• 3 MRI at TUH (two 1.5 T and one 3T,) one MRI at NEC, and one at Jeanes.
• Opportunities also exist for engagement in research and candidates with interest in publishing or participating in research is preferred but, not required.
• Rank and compensation commensurate with experience.
• Administrative roles available for qualifying candidates with strong record of research and scholarly activity.


• PA license and DEA prior to start date.
• MD, DO, or foreign equivalent, board certification/eligibility in radiology, and fellowship training in abdominal imaging.
• Subspecialty fellowship training in one facet of abdominal imaging will also be considered – including MRI fellowship, cross sectional fellowships and ultrasound training.
• Expertise in MRI or US and 4+ years’ experience preferred, but not required.
