Academic Interventional Radiologist


The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Temple University Health System, announces the search for a BC/BE Interventional Radiologist to become a part of our Faculty. 


The selected individual will join a vibrant faculty of 8 established, academic, full time IR physicians and two full time IR physician extenders who cover three separate sites including Temple University Hospital, Fox Chase Cancer Center and Jeanes Hospital.


The IR division has extensive expertise performing more than 8000 procedures annually. Each individual IR faculty have varying areas of clinical focus and research. Academic opportunities exist and are encouraged for successful candidates with interest in publication and research.


This position is 100% IR and the successful candidate would be part of a rotating busy and thriving clinical practice performing a wide range of procedures including all facets of interventional oncology, pain management, uterine artery embolization, GI/GU intervention, TIPS, venous access, peripheral vascular disease and CT/US guided biopsy, drainages and ablation treatments. IR is a critical member of our Pulmonary Embolus Response Team and the IR division also has an active inpatient admitting service and growing outpatient clinic and consult service.


Lewis Katz School of Medicine also offers a five-year Integrated Interventional Radiology residency program beginning at the PGY-2 level.  Our IR faculty also participate in teaching of medical students, residents and APP’s.


Candidates must possess a MD or DO, or foreign equivalent and have completed an accredited residency and IR fellowship or a graduate of an integrated interventional radiology residency prior to their start date.  Ability to obtain medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to start date is also required.   Current fellows are welcome to apply.
