The Department of Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM) is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time faculty position within its Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism.   The successful candidate will be joining Temple Health’s active clinical and academic Endocrinology program that currently serves our outpatient populations at Temple’s Health Science Campus and Temple Health multispecialty outpatient centers in the Philadelphia region along with providing consultative care at the Temple University Health System. There will be an opportunity to treat patients with a broad range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. The position entails involvement in the clinical and educational activities of the Section, including fellowship, residency, as well as medical student education and training. Opportunities for scholarly effort and clinical research are available and encouraged.   The successful candidate will be an M.D or D.O or M.D. /Ph.D. with active board certification in Internal Medicine and BE/BC in Endocrinology.  Qualified candidates will possess clinical expertise in general endocrinology and qualifications for a faculty appointment at the minimum level of Assistant Professor.    Candidate Qualifications - MD or MD/PhD - Completed an ACGME accredited IM residency and ACGME accredited endocrinology fellowship - Board Certified in Internal Medicine and BE/BC in Endocrinology   - Possess academic credentials for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor - Possession of or eligible to receive an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania   Temple Health, one of Philadelphia's leading academic medical centers, is home to more than 1,000 physicians and scientists who share the mission of bringing innovative treatments to patients. Temple University School of Medicine (TUSM), Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive announces the search for a MFM physician to join the section.   The selected individual will be a member of a clinical team of perinatologists who serve as consultants for all high risk obstetrical patients within the Temple University Health System and will conduct non-invasive and invasive fetal evaluations and studies. In addition, the selected individual will have an active clinical practice as well as having teaching responsibilities to medical students and residents (21 residents in PGY I, II, III and IV). Research and mentorship are part of this position.     The Division of Obstetrics and Maternal Fetal Medicine is one of five clinical divisions including General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Women’s Pelvic Health Program, Reproductive Endocrinology and Gynecologic Oncology. There are approximately 30 MDs or MD/PhDs in the department plus supporting administrative, nursing and research staff. Qualified candidates will have completed a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship and obtained Board Certification in OB/GYN and MFM. Active candidates for board certification(s) will also be considered.  Candidates must have a strong interest in working in an Academic environment. The selected individual must also have the ability to obtain a license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Academic Surgical Pathologist (Open Rank) /Philadelphia, PA   The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine announces the search for a board-certified Surgical Pathologist (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor) to become a part of our faculty. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in general surgical pathology in an environment that has provided the opportunity to experience a wide spectrum of gross and microscopic examination of surgical specimens, as well as biopsies. A niche area in surgical pathology for example GYN, head/neck, breast pathology or soft tissue pathology is preferred. Candidates with several years of professional work experience are desirable but, not required. Qualified candidate who can contribute through their research, teaching and/or service to the diversity and excellence of the academic mission of the department are also preferable.  The Department of Pathology receives over 17,000 surgical specimens, (excluding nearly 10,000 oral specimens), 4000 cytology specimens, 100 autopsies, and performs over 1.8 million laboratory tests in a typical year. Special diagnostic testing includes immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, molecular diagnostics, electron microscopy, and whole slide imaging. Modern research laboratories are equipped for tissue culture, real-time PCR, techniques for advanced protein detection, flow cytometry and molecular biology.  Candidate Qualifications   - Applicants should be an M.D. or foreign equivalent with board certification or board eligibility in Anatomic Pathology.  Candidates who are board-eligible will be expected to complete their boards within the first year of hire. - Completion of a fellowship in a niche area is desirable. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. - Demonstrate sensitivity to the culture, needs, and aspirations of the community.   Procedure for Candidacy  Interested candidates should submit a current curriculum vitae and letter of interest online. Personal statements summarizing teaching experience, clinical and research interests, leadership experience and contributions to diversity are encouraged.  Salary and rank (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor) will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
